    If I disable this plugin temporarily on a ‘corporate wordpress set-up’ whilst I tinker with the theme, does my administrator get pinged?

    Ptah: If you disable this plugin and there are updates available for your themes, then these will show up in the update counter on the site. That said, you don’t need to disable the plugin in order to edit your theme.
